Myron Cope died
 

I know most of you are saying "who?" but there are enough Pennsylvanians/Pittsburghers on here for a thread.

Myron was the announcer for the Steelers for forever. He is a Pittsburgh institution.

I second the sucks! I had to email the hubby at work to tell him. Mr. Cope will be missed.

I think we should all put up the BLACK Terrible Towels. Myron is as Pittsburgh as the Steelers and Primanti's.

Can you just imagine his funeral?

They're telling everyone who goes to the Pitt game tonight and the Pens game this weekend to bring their Terrible Towels along to wave.

My daddy knew him from building his house (and golfing). He always said that Myron was a class act. I wouldn't be at all opposed to making a donation to his son's school.

They're saying on tv that They're asking businesses to put "YOI" in their windows tomorrow. I think we can do that.

Anybody get to the Terrible Towel wave? I was happy to see that even the statue of Dick Caliguiri had one!
