Suggestion for individual NPC forums...
I made a comment on someone's thread that made me think of an idea, and I didn't want to hijack her thread to have this conversation...
Often times when we get a new person to GC and they have a question about an aspect of their sorority, yet they don't want to reveal which sorority it is. Most of the time, we can't help them in that situation, besides telling them to contact HQ or contact their advisor. I had also made the suggestion to PM the Mod of their sorority's forum, or other "verified" member, but without searching countless threads, they might not know who is or isn't officially legit. Soooo...anyway, my suggestion is for each NPC forum to have a condensed "Who's Who" list in one post. It would probably even be a good idea if the Mod locked it. ASA's might look something like this: 33girl - ASA Moderator/National Volunteer cuteASAbug - National Volunteer AlphaFrog - National Volunteer/Education Team Member RaggedyAnn - National Volunteer asa06091987 - collegiate member etc... (yes, I know I left a bunch of you off, I did it off the top of my head) Like I said...just a suggestion, take it or leave it. Also, the Mod may want to PM members before putting them on the list, to make sure they are comfortable fielding questions. |
Co-sign. Good idea. Those "Roll Call" threads are way too long and if the mods are up to the task, I say go for it.

I think my brain just exploded! I think it would work, IF each person who has a title/office wishes to have it stated. I'm sure that there are several officers who just want the fun experience of GC, without the work, too.

^^ yep. not only that, but it may be good to keep the "office" as generic as possible so they are not being stalked (i.e. going to the HQ page to find the name of the Director of New Member Education and linking the name to the GC'ers. There have been farrrrrrrr too many GC crazies for me to ever want to put that out there if I were a national officer)

It doesn't take much to fill out a volunteer interest form.

This does sound like a good idea!
