YAY to our expansion team! (Thanks, Football fan for the congratulations.)

I'm assuming if anyone out there knows of anything we all can do to help the expansion process at Bama, she will let us know. I am very excited about this one.

P.S. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know which house/building used to be DG's house and does it still exist today?

DG's house was torn down years ago to make way for stadium expansion...along with Alpha Phi's old house, Delta Phi Epsilon's old house, and the Pi Beta Phi house.
(And NO, Gamma Phi Beta's house is NOT the old Delta Gamma house! It is the old Alpha Xi Delta house. It may still be owned by Alpha Xi Delta, for all I know.

From what I understand, land behind the (new) Pi Beta Phi, KD and Chi Omega houses will be offered first to existing groups to build a new house(s). Then the incoming groups can buy existing houses. Unless, of course, the current groups choose not to build. But I imagine they will...many of them are so big now that they are either violating fire regulations to hold chapter meetings, or holding meetings in classrooms. I hear that Delta Delta Delta has to eat dinner in shifts.

(All above subject to correction by anybody more in the know than me!:rolleyes:)

What can we do to help? As Killer Baez says....SAVE UP! It's gonna be expensive to build a competitive house at UA! :D

Is there something about alabama up on anchorsonline? I haven't seend anything regarding expansion except on greekchat.

But weren't we officially invited to present? I've seen other instances on the website expansion page of place we're presenting to. It seems rather a done deal at this point.

Yes, we were invited to present and present, we did. There is a protocol once that is done as to how the PH voting, offering and acceptance is done...sort of like pref, signing your bid card and bid day. That process has not come to completion at this point in time. I assure you when it is official, it will be posted here.

...Alpha Phi will come to the University in fall 2008 and Delta Gamma will follow in fall 2010.:)
