The Southern Belle Primer

Y'all have to read the book "The Southern Belle Primer, or Why Princess Margaret Will Never Be a Kappa Kappa Gamma." It is one of the funniest books I have ever read, and it's all true!! It is all about how to be a Southern belle. It even has an entire chapter devoted to Southern sororities! (This may be helpful to all you Northern and Western girls that I see in the rush forum who just can't understand why Southern rush is so competitive!) I told my cousins in New Hampshire that if they want to learn all the unspoken rules of living in the south to read this book and "Gone With the Wind." A must read, y'all!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I know I mentioned it in the thread entitled "LSU Rush" in the Rush forum.

I've read that book. Its a hoot! Along the same topic lines is anything by Florence King. "Southern Ladies & Gentlemen" and "When Sisterhood was in Flower" are both verrrry funny. I'm trying to track down a copy now of "Confessions of a Failed Southern Lady."

To find the books, try going to www.bibliofind.com --I have lots of luck there!

Aaah I've been searching for The Southern Belle Primer at my local Barnes & Noble but they never have it. I guess I'm gonna have to order it. My aunt in Texas recommended that and What Southern Women Know by Ronda Rich cause she says I'm a southern girl at heart http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif I read the last one and it is so good!

Carnation, I love Bibliofind! Isn't it an excellent resource?
