Competative Sorority Events

I'm in a fraternity at the UDub and we have a week long philanthropy first week of school that I need to think up ideas for. Every day (durring the day) there are competition events for sorrorities, and every night there are unofficial party hang outs.

Example: During the first day. Sororities compete at dodgeball, then come back later that night for a bondfire hangout.

So now I need to think of sorotity competitions for the other 4 day... any help would be great. Keep in mind this takes place durring fall.

Maybe go to a homeless shelter and Ronald McDonald house.

Ask students to pay $1 and a canned good to watch your guys play intramurals.

You can do a penny war, or for a more "fun" take on it, you can do something similar to Cornell's Best Jugs on Campus:
One of the fraternities sponsors it and gets giant water jugs (like from a water cooler) for all of the sororities. 1 jug/sorority. Each sorority decorates the jug however they want to and then for a few day- a week the jugs are displayed in a prominent and secure location around campus. People can come and vote for whichever jug they think is the best by putting money in it. The sorority that has the most money in theirs at the end of the week is the winner. Half of the total money raised goes to the sponsoring fraternity's philanthropy, and the other half goes to the winning sorority's philanthropy.

Maybe just me, but I got really sick of all the fraternities doing week long sports competitions where sororities had to compete against one another. I guess guys think women just LOVE to do nothing but play competitive sports with the fraternity members as coaches. But by the time we had greek week, derby days, and all the other philanthropy sporting events, we would actually get excited when a non-sports or non-competitive sports one came along.

A few that were fun- Can Queen. Every sorority nominated someone and the org with the most cans has their rep named the "Can Queen", complete with crown and sash.

Penny Wars (jugs as mentioned above)

Banner competition- sororities make banners advertising the fraternity and hang it from their house. banners are judged and winners named.

Jeopardy type competition. Trivia was usually related to the school.

What is the purpose of this week? I thought this was a service week kind of thing.

usually it is a fundraiser for thier philanthropy. So if it is a week of sporting events, either they charge the other groups participating a fee or they charge admission to the events and then the money earned goes to the philanthropy.
