Since i Have Sickle Cell Anemia...Do u Think my process will be harder...and do u know or have ne body who went thru the process with sickle cell...!?!?

PDK, do you have sickle cell? Are you more than casually acquainted with someone who does have it?

I know someone who succesfully went through olk skool pledging with sickle cell. And that was before today's new meds, etc.

One of my friends pledged APO through my chapter in 01... I was his Dean. He didn't disclose his sickle cell anemia to me until after he crossed and I was pretty upset with him for it. In fact, he's never even officially told me until last year.

Frame of reference.... my chapter of APO is more reminiscent of old school pledging than MIP, sans the brutality. So you can imagine why I'd be ticked if I had to be in charge of someone in a situation that could exacerbate his illness. (Luckily he never had a crisis while pledging, but he had several while in school)

And since you have SCA then you know it will take more than that. You can't just will away a crisis.

Faith in what? Think that if you just have faith you can conquer all. God gave us the earthly tools to help us survive. I don't think He wants us to not use them and just back and say it's all on you God.
