Hey everybody,

I was just informed that there has been a tragedy in the Kappa Delta family. Sometime this afternoon (Feb 10) 3 KD's were driving back to Statesboro and were in a car accident. Jessica Fulmer and Melissa Eustice have passed and Jamie Carter is in critical condition in Savannah. So far, Jamie's condition has improved, her breathing and blood pressure has stabilized and she has started to resist doctors, which is what they wanted to make sure she could respond. Jamie has broken both legs, her pelvic bones, and elbows. The doctors are trying to stop the internal bleeding and the neurosurgeon will be in tomorrow morning to evaluate the bleeding in her brain.

Please keep these ladies, their friends, and families in your prayers.

Oh how awful! I'll keep them and their loved ones in my prayers.

This is so sad. My thoughts are with my KD sisters at Georgia Southern and their families. I pray that Jamie Carter survives.

Wow, this made me sad. Poor girls.

I am praying for all of those who are touched by this sad event, and for the Greek community at my alma mater.

I heard about this last night - apparently they are from the town I live in so it was all over our local news. Very sad day indeed, I wondered if they were Greek and if I'd read about it on GC and I'm sad to see they were NPC cousins :( Get well soon Jamie!!!

Its a very sad time to hear what has happened to these wonderful ladies. I personally knew jamie as she lived a few houses down from me while growing up. She has always been one of the sweetest and most gentle girls I have ever known. I can only pray that she is as strong as I know she is and will pull through this.

they turned her again and she's still responding to the doctors. YAY!!!! that's all for right now.

People, please please please...wear your seatbelts. Every trip. Every time. If you're thrown from the vehicle, you are unlikely to survive.

Just found out that Jamie's right ventricals are not pumping blood to her heart and the doctor said there is nothing he can do right now since her body was traumatized so bad. The doctor also said her heart is bruised really bad and thinks she might have hit a tree when she was thrown from the car. However, this is a bright side he said that she can hear people speaking.
