Sad news from Gamma Alpha
 

I received this from the Gamma Alpha CA today.

Our House Mother Margaret Scott passed away Friday December 1, 2008 at 11:30 pm. Margaret was put in the hospital on Sunday with pneumonia and could not recover from the sickness. Please keep her family in your prayers.

There will be a viewing Monday evening 6-8 pm at Bernstein Funeral Home in Athens. Her funeral service will be Tuesday evening at 10:00 am at the Catholic Center on Lumpkin St in Athens.

That is sad news. How long had she been the house mother?


Is the date correct? Does she mean February 1st?

How sad. I will keep her family and the GA collegians in my prayers.

I think it is February. December 1st was a Saturday. I received it today.

I don't know how long she was HM. I met a very nice lady a few years ago when some of the Atl. Alumnae Chapter went to the house.

I think she was in a sorority but I can't remember which one.

Yes, it was February 1. I received an email about it as well.

Oh my gosh!!! She was so nice. We will miss her :(

By the way, this was only her second year as our house mother. Our last house mother had to leave because her sister was really sick and she needed to take care of her.
