COB what is that

I was told that a sorority had gotten 13 girls at spring rush and that they were going to have a COB at the end of the month. What is a COB?

Continuous Open Bidding. THat means they do it on their on, as needed, without a formal recruitment schedule coordinated by Panhellenic in which all groups participate. Only chapters not pledging quota in formal recruitment or not at total can participate in COB activities.
