What are your plans for Super Bowl Sunday?

Participating in a party?

Where at?

If at your home, what are you serving?

Any special requirements?

Betting any money?

Door Prizes?

Who do you think will win?

Where at? Whichever place has the best food and best view of the game.

If at your home, what are you serving? I'd rather raid someone else's home. :)

Any special requirements? Nope. I don't show up to these parties starving. So I'll just pick and choose whatever munchies don't offend my healthfood requirements too much.

Betting any money? Nope. I don't care for either team enough.

Door Prizes? Por que?
Who do you think will win? I dunno. I'll heckle whichever team's fans are most represented at the party. :p

I swear you all are nosey as hell. ;)

Well, I usually do an Opening Day event at my house and fire up the grill and so on...but this year since one of my buddies cancelled, I volunteered to do the Super Bowl too.

But it will be kind of small because I don't feel like cooking a lot.

Menu: Beef BBQ ribs...one of my other friends will fix Pork BBQ ribs for the grill.

4 large pizzas

Crabcakes

Veggie tray chips and dips

And of course plenty to drink (non alcoholic this time...I tend to keep a dry
house...hehehe)

I let my friends know to be there early if they want to eat and if they are late, they are out and I won't fix anymore...hehehe

Main requirement...wear a jersey (actually at work now with my Randy Moss jersey on now...hahaha!) and support your team.

And yes...we are doing door prizes...I am auctioning off a jersey and a NFL hat....!

Any special requirements? not really

Betting any money? nah, too poor for that

Ever notice how people tend to flock to one's house because of the TV size....?

I wish. Panhellenic scheduled bid day directly over the Superbowl.

If I had the choice between my HD big screen and 27 inch old tv, I'd stay home and watch it on mine. It's an easy choice - but yes, you are very right. It's ok, my house has been quiet since J left so it'll be nice to have people over, even if it is just for my tv :)

Yes, and this is why we don't have anything bigger than a 27"er in our house...

Home watching on my 50 inch big screen.

Eats: BBQ pork for an entree.

If cold enough, fire in the fire place.

I throw a big Superbowl party every year. The only other sports event I plan so much for is the Kentucky Derby. For the Superbowl, I fix beef and pork babyback ribs, buffalo wings, a veggie/dip tray, chips, and a football-themed cake. Not to mention the various libations (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). We got a HD tv last year, so we'll be watching the game (very late, mind you) in style and comfort.

We changed our chapter council meeting to 11:30 AM so it wouldn't interfere with the super bowl. Soooo now I feel like I HAVE to go to a super bowl party. I'd bring chips and pretty amazing dip, but I don't know who's having a party! Haha I'm so lame! I think Theta Chi is...

That's why people attend sports parties and sports bars: to talk, eat and drink. :)

If people want to focus only on the game they should stay their boring asses home and watch the game. :D

As long as you understand the game and I don't have to tell you that a quarterback is not a rebate...we are all cool here!

Uh...yeah...I'm a sports person and love to play sports so I know what's going on in every type of sports game.

But in the end, I still don't care who wins football games.
