JUNO

I finally saw this and thought it was absolutely wonderful. Such a quirky and cute love story on a few different levels... Walked out smiling :)

Oh, and fun soundtrack also!

I'm surprised this is the first thread for it. I saw it maybe 2 weeks ago and absolutely loved it.

Co-sign on all accounts! :D

I saw it over Christmas break. Diablo Cody's screenplay is absolute genius! The Academy should just send her the Oscar now! :D

I saw this in December. Some of the jokes might go over heads due to pop culture references and a lot of mumbling. The music had to grow on me because it was so damn campy that it was driving me nuts but by the end I got used to it. I loved the issue with the couple. Some parts of that were played out in a complicated way but in the end I knew that Juno was a lil feminist and that she would still do what was right. It was one of the better movies I've seen in a while and it wasn't apart of a TREquel. Two thumbs up!

My daughter (14) and her friends have all seen it at least TWICE already. They also all have the soundtrack and were listening to it over and over during her sleepover birthday party. I asked them "What is it you guys like about this soundtrack?" and they just giggled and giggled.. like 13 and 14 year old girls do at sleepovers. By the end of the night, they all knew all the songs by heart...

I was actually dragged to see Juno by a friend of mine who didn't want to go to the movies by herself. I was not looking forward to it, but it turned out to be really good. It has some really great quotations, such as "We found them in the back of the Pennysaver, next to the exotic reptiles and used fitness equipment." (Juno, when asked where she found Mark & Vanessa).

The ending was surprising to me and it made me cry.

The pop culture references were hilarious! I saw it with J and his parents and we laughed a lot more than they did, lol. And I liked the music too - downloaded several songs last night in fact :) All in all a good flick! Co-sign on being surprised this is the first thread for this movie (I looked before I posted). Looking forward to the Oscars to see how Juno does - when are they again?

I really want to see this movie. Every review I've seen has said that it's "the movie Knocked Up should have been." I enjoyed Knocked Up, so I'm excited to see this one.

"We're too cute for two ugly people..."

I thought the movie was great. I loved every second of it.

I also loved Knocked Up and don't think they are comparable.

"That ain't no etch-a-sketch. This is one doodle that can't be un-did, homeskillet."

I LOVED this movie. I would see it again just for the pop culture references.

She was good, but I have to say that Marion Cotillard was outstanding in La Vie en Rose.

Feb. 24, provided that the WGA strike doesn't kill the show.

Juno's nominated for four Oscars, but will probably only win 1 (for Diablo Cody's brilliant screenplay). Best Actress will go to either Julie Christie or Marion Cotillard, and Best Director and Best Picture will go to the Coen brothers and No Country for Old Men, respectively.

I agree (even though I haven't seen "LVER"), but we're talkin' about 2 different categories (lol)! :)
