Membership Question

I've been interested for years now and I've been researching some grad chapters in my area. However, I graduated from a school that had an active undergraduated chapter (at times). I recently heard that if you did undergrad at a school w/an undergraduate chapter then you must wait four years from the time you graduated before you can go grad chapter (I've been out 2 years). Now, I'm not sure if what I heard was just rumor or truth. Can anyone shed some light on this? Also, if this is true, is it a national requirement or is it chapter specific? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The rule is you have to wait 4 years if you graduated from a undergrad institution with an active chapter...but you need to get in contact with district and chapter officials in your area for specific details.

thanks Alias. I've officially expressed my interest with a graduate chapter in my area. This issue is being looked in to. the chapter at my school was active at times and inactive at others and I know it's active now. Not sure how this will play out for me though. I hope this is something that individual chapters are allowed to exercise there own discretion on a case by case basis. We'll see. Thanks
