In the middle of recruitment.

Hi! I just transferred to a new university about a week ago and I started formal spring rush on Saturday. So far, so good. I went on the first day not knowing what to expect, and luckily most of my conversations went pretty well. On Sunday I luckily and unexpectedly got asked back to my top 6 choices (I'm rushing as a sophomore sooo I didn't know how this would affect me in the process). Our next round isn't until Friday evening and I'm getting pretty nervous. I just recently found out that the chapters I really clicked with are the "more popular" chapters on campus and a lot of girls want to be involved. I had good conversations with the girls in about 4 of these chapters, but since I'm a sophomore and these are popular chapters and so now I'm nervous about the chances of me getting invited back for skit night because I have no idea how many upperclassmen these chapters will take and whether or not they really liked me.

Thanks! I'm just trying to calm my nerves and maybe not get my hopes up.

Stop listening to the tent talk. Don't think about the things you can't control. Concentrate on you. Be yourself and have fun!

It sounds like your having a good rush! But I have to agree with LadyLonghorn, don't listen to what everyone else says, go with were YOU feel most comfortable. Good Luck!

How did Friday night go? It sounds like you clicked with several chapters. Try not to think about which ones are popular and just act as normal as possible. That's why they liked you enough to ask you back the first time. Rush can be a pretty vague process -- you can't really predict what will happen. Some chapters prefer freshman, but 2nd semester is usually a little less formal, so that may be a plus. Good luck with rush -- and have fun!!!
