I'd wear whatever I'd wear to lunch on any given day. I'd hate to show up to anything overdressed.

Did they tell you where you'll be having lunch?

places?

they either said the sorority house or a restaurant in the area.

can you ask one of the sisters what would be appropriate to wear? if they have personally contacted you and invited you to lunch, i think it would be okay to ask.

if you don't feel comfortable to ask, then how about a nice pair of jeans, with some heeled boots or pumps and a nice top or sweater?

Umm...

IDK how it is on your campus...
Honestly, I don't think that they will be voting on you based on your clothing.
They will know you by your personality and what you do.

Nice sentiment, but not altogether accurate. I know if me and a few sisters invited a girl to have lunch with us and it was COB time and she showed up in sweats, it would speak volumes. How you dress shows how you view the event and much respect you have for the people that invited you and how much respect you have for yourself. Of course memberhsip selection is based on more than looks, but how a woman presents herself is also considered. Having bad fashion sense isn't a crime, but not caring how you look when you roll out of bed certainly is - at least as far as sorority recruitment goes.
