Duct Tape

I recently moved into a new apartment and the slats in my bed wouldn't stay. My boyfriend left me there to figure it out by myself.....then after a few minutes he comes in with a big roll of duct tape. I said what's that for? He said, "If you can't duct it #!&% it!" I could not stop laughing, I'd never heard that before.

duck tape is the stuff that holds the universe together. it's quality stuff, and every guy i know has a roll of it around for emergencies.

I was at a wedding shower this weekend, and one of the other guests handed the groom a package. She said, "my husband said that any man who owns this is one fine guy". Well, he opened it and it was a roll of Duct tape. I thought that was pretty humorous!!!

Rules of fixing stuff:

If it moves and isn't supposed to, use duct tape.

If it doesn't move and it's supposed to, use WD40.

Other words of wisdom I've learned at "The #1 Undergrad Engineering School (Ed. Note: for what that's worth)"

Civil Engineers:
You can't push a rope.
Soil+water=mud
$h!t flows downhill.
If it moves, it's broken

Electrical Engineers:
All electronics are filled with magic white smoke. If you put too much power through a component and let all the magic smoke out, it doesn't work anymore.

The best way to remember something, such as the color code for resistors is to associate it with a limerick, either about sex or food. (The prof. that told me this is a dirty old cynical man. Too bad he's retiring)

I think that's all for now. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Duct tape is like the Force - It has two sides, and it holds the universe together. The only difference is that "May the Force be with you" sounds a lot better than "May you be covered in duct tape." http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
