Bid Day Ideas!!!
Hi! I'm from the beta beta chapter at Michigan State and the new New Member Educator. Our shirts (and theme) for bid day are going to be "It's sweet to be a sig delt" and we will have a lot of sweets and candy! Usually we just throw our bid day party in a rec room in the apartment building I live in, but this year, I would love if we could could do it somewhere else.
I am looking for either some really original activities or a new place to go that's relatively cheap! Thanks for your help! |
Holy cow. Another SDT from MSU! That's exciting! I will try to think of some ideas for places around EL and get back to you! Welcome to GC and Go SDT!! and GO Green!!!

I thought about this all weekend. I know that there is the bowling alley in the Union or an alley by 127. We did bid night one semester at Cosi (I think... - it was either bid night or a COB). I don't know if Crunchy's still has karoake, but that could be a possiblity. We had a few events there. Oh and there is Munn Ice Rink in case anyone likes to Ice Skate. I don't know how much it costs, but we had a date party there and each sister had to pay like $6.00 I think for her and her date. Other than that, I think I might be out of ideas. Most of the bid nights I went to were at our house (when we had one) and involved just hanging out with the sisters and doing getting to know each other type of things.
Keep us updated with events with BB! :) In SDT, Elena |

Hi, Sig Delt Doll, I hope this suggestion isn't too late for you to use. We always took our new pledges to a local ice cream parlor for a special welcome. The owners looked for us every semester! We had a private room that was used for kids' birthday parties and we sang and had a great time while indulging in decadent treats. Enjoy your position as New Member Educator at Beta Beta. Hey all,
I'm from the Texas chapter (Tau) so I'm not sure what ya'll have around your schools, but for our Bid Day we had lunch at a Kobe place (where they cook on the tables in front of you, always a fun choice and usually not too expensive) and then went to laser tag. It was super fun and all the girls, pledges and actives, had a great time! I'd def recommend it! |
Disneyesque under the sea is a cute one too! Do your shirts and signs in coral and teal! it'll look bomb
