Golden Globe awards show

Is anybody else out there liking this format as much as I am? I'm not really a celeb watcher but like to see who wins without the fluff. This is kind of nice (and I don't have to stay up way past my bedtime either)

We stopped watching after a few awards into it. I couldn't stand the stupid dialogue in between the awards. And I guess I like the more ceremonial aspect of a real awards show. Besides, the Golden Globes have always been my favorite of the shows, because it's a sit-down dinner with plenty of booze, which usually leads to some fun speeches.

I got annoyed with the dialogue in between the awards too. Their own commentary on who they thought should have won (after announcing the winner) was unnecessary. I didn't miss the thank you speeches though. I think, for the most part, they're annoying.

frankly, i wish they would do all the award shows like this(except the tonys, because i like to watch the snippets of plays and musicals that i will never get to see in person).

See, I love the thank you speeches of the Globes. They can be so funny because of the alcohol. Not every year, but it's much more entertaining than the Oscars.
