Help with my Chapter's payment collection!!!

I'm trying to find a good way to help my chapter collect our dues and meal plan payments (and on time). I've looked into Omega, but heard it's expensive and some have had problems / unhappy. Anybody have any suggestions? ?

Yea, we’ve been looking for something, too. We have a low collection rate and I always feel like I have to force people to pay. Let me know what you find.

For a reasonable commission, me a couple of my friends will "persuade" your members that its in their best interests to pay . . . in advance.

We believe in a personal touch.

Our chapter uses Greek Collections for rent and dues, which has worked
really well for us.

I have the feeling this is a spam coming on.

Looks like it could help. The fee seems pretty reasonable. Have you had any issues / problems with Greek Collections yet?

1. You can always have date auctions (V-Day is coming up).

2. Host Parties, charge people to enter (those can be put on last min. if you know the right people)

That's all I can think of.

One of our chapters tried them, and what really sucked is when they were supposed to be taking care of our financial problems, their employees were on the computer spamming Greek message boards.

Good luck! HTH! :)

We haven't had any issues yet - everything's been pretty smooth and our account manager is helpful. We switched to Greek Collections awhile back because it made everything automated and we don't have to hound our members to pay.

It's pretty common. Although $10 says it's the same person with two usernames.

I'll say it's one person with three user names (the first two people asking plus the person with all the answers). And I like how s/he ignores all of the comments from us "real" GCers to only talk to themself.

I don't know if this might work for your chapter because I don't know what type of organization you belong to... but, my chapter of Delta Sigma Pi (business coed fraternity) would give a monetary incentive for members who paid their semester dues early.

For example, if the semester's dues were $90, they would only charge $75 for those who paid early. After that "early period" was over, it was the regular $90. After the due date, there was a monthly penalty for late dues.

Arrangements could be made, for example, if you didn't get paid until a week after the due date, you could let the treasurer know and they wouldn't charge you the late fees as long as you paid within a reasonable amount of time.

It's a different type of organization from your regular fraternities/sororities so I don't know if it would work with your org, but both chapters I was part of almost never had problems collecting money because most everyone paid early to get the discounted rate.

We switched over from doing that to using billhighway last year.
