Informal Recruitment
 

Does any one have any ideas for informal recruitment. I wanted to do some small events on the weekends just to get the girls to come out.

in the past we have done:
build a cake--(i know...)
a tea party
rollerskating
dinner

i want to do something fun so the girls feel comfortable--any ideas?

Are you talking about COB events? Either way, we did a sushi night that was a lot of fun. You could also go to a sports game/other school function.

we did the game thing but it was so hard to get to know them while they are in the stands--maybe we could have a tailgate!! thanks!!

Also - Game Night - play Bunco,or Trivial Pursuit, or Pictionary, or Cranium - you get the idea.

We did game night at my chapter, and we made nametags for that night by cutting out a white square, and then hole punching red/blue/yellow/green paper and glueing the circles to the white square to make a "Twister" board. It took awhile, but they were very cute.

Bowling is always fun. If your campus has a sports center you can most likely get discounted lanes?

Is there one of those paint your own pottery places near you? Those are always fun.

We always have one night of charades. It shows you which girls aren't afraid to get in front of people without beng too embarassed, and that they can have fun. Plus we're really competitive. We've also done ice skating, mocktails while watching Sex and the City, and even gone to the local pool hall. Just give them a comfortable atmosphere and anything you do will get great girls.

card games (not like... crazy eights... lol.. like if you draw a heart you say why you love your chapter or why you wanna be in a chapter, if you draw a spade you say a funny story that happened to you...etc)
