Freshmen rush=academic crush
 

Should a freshman be allowed to return to school after totally bombing:(first semester becase of fraternity rush. Does anyone know academic standards for SAE?

I don't understand how fraternity rush would make anyone "bomb" unless they have some sort of learning disability. It only lasts for a few weeks.

I have a pretty good friend who's an SAE. I believe the national GPA required for initiation is a 2.3 (but, I'm not positive, you'll have to check behind me). But, the chapter can also set other standards for grades and such. He's a member of the NC-Omega chapter and they have a seperate set of GPA requirements for their chapter.

Of course...they are seen as the nerdy fraternity and have had the highest greek GPA a few times.

I would visit the SAE national website. Then contact the SAE chapter on your campus if you have some concerns.
