Spring 2008 Service/Philanthropy Ideas

Hey, guys, just signed onto the forums...I'm the VP for Scholarship/Service/Philanthropy for the interfraternity council for the coming year...any ideas for some events, or some past events that went really well? Thanks!

Phi Mu does Hoopapaluza, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament with an entry fee of $35/team or $50/2 teams. Each team get to play a minimum of 3 games, the first two are for seeding. Last year was the first year we did it, we had 36 teams sign up and raised $1300. Other chapters, have raised thousands of dollars. Some even do free throw contests.

our panhel and ifc sponsored a "greeks vs. athletes" event where we played different versions of family feud, are you smarter than the administration and jeopardy. it seemed to go really well

how did the 3 on 3 basketball tourny work? Did you get teams to sign up and still make money?
