Chapter Newsletters
Hey my chapter is starting our first newsletter for brothers/alums. Right now it is planned to be sent out quarterly, but we would like to make it monthly in the coming semesters. What, if any, cool/unique things does your chapter include in your newsletters aside from just chapter events, etc. Any recommendations would be appreciated, take it easy.

Are you folks doing regular paper newsletters? I know not everyone checks their e-mails regularly, but e-newsletters saves on time and $$$ (printing and postage are so expensive these days!), especially if you're thinking about making it monthly.
When I was Editor for my alum chapter, I added a few historical fun facts to each issue. Also, not everyone checks the HQ website frequently, so make sure to include updates from there as well (colonizations, chapter closings, new programs available, volunteer positions opening, etc.). |
A "where are they now" section is always nice for alums. Pick one or two random alums (from different eras if possible) find out what they are up to now, write up a short paragraph and then post a current picture (and a pic from when they were in college if possible).

My chapter did an e-newsletter and holiday picture postcards of the chapter
