...AND MANY HAPPY RETURNS!!!

What did you get for the holidays that you could have done without, didn't fit, or already have one of?

Are you returning it, keeping it or regifting it?

I got a blazer that didn't fit...I got an 40 when they know damn well I wear a 48L

I wrote this in the ASA thread, but I got a ton of jewelry, and I don't wear jewelry, except on special occasions. So, it will probably be relegated to my grandma's jewelry box, never (or hardly ever) to be seen again.

I think my favorite (HA!) was the watch my mom gave me with the removable/changeable straps and faceplate. I'm lucky if I remember to put my watch on in the morning, let alone change it all around to match my outfit. I did enjoy the swarovski crystal watch my husband got me, though. It's silver with clear swarovski crystals, so it matches my wedding ring, and everything I wear.:D

I gave my mother a badge ring and Sirrius radio.

She gave me a hot chocolate kit and a box of Sunkist fruit gems.

I'm giving the hot chocolate to my 18 year old daughter, and eating the fruit gems before Jan. 1st, when I once again start eating right.

I love my aunt "L" but heaven help me, she gives the worst gifts ever. This year, I got a wig. A brown curly wig.

Here's the deal.
1. I have NEVER worn a wig in my life.
2. I have brown curly hair.

It went straight on Mike's head where he proceeded to make fun of me while wearing it.

It's been a long time since I've gotten anything that has been something I already have. However...

I decided to spend the $50 Amazon gift card I had along with a $50 one I got for Chanukkah. I asked my pledge sister what books she got from an author that she got me addicted to, so I didn't buy any of them (knowing I could borrow them from her). She told me and couldn't remember two of them. One of those two wound up as part as my holiday gift from her. Of course, I got that one for myself...and the other one she didn't remember. She is going to go ahead and exchange it for one of her books that I don't have, or just return it and get something else. I felt horrible, but it happens. Now I just have to remember to bring it to her next time I see her, as somehow I left with it still in my bag.

I got a frog night light, tongs, a knife set, and a travel set of bowls for my dog. Sigh.

I think my mom felt bad about what was under the tree so right before Christmas I got a cute dress for New Year's and a small table and chairs for my breakfast nook in my new house. I'll probably keep everything but the knife set I already had since J has a set, except his is in a wooden block and the set I got are in a plastic sleeve (the ones you have to wrestle with scissors to get open).

my Grandmother-in-law gave me 4 packets of microwave popcorn (not packages, but 4 of the bags from a box) and a can of peanuts that was marked "not for individual sale".

So all I can think is that she went crazy at Costco and bought bulk and then divided up the packages!
