Dan Fogelberg Dies :(
 

How ironic - I heard "Same Auld Lang Syne" for the first time this season today. May he rest in peace, and his family find solace.


But on a more personal note, more men need to be aware of the danger of prostate cancer. My godson's father passed away two years ago last month, at the age of 50. He asked to be tested for it when he was 42, and was told that it wasn't necessary. By the time it was caught, he was told he had had it for over 10 years.

How sad. My friends and I bought a lot of his albums just before leaving for college. I loved the sound of his voice. He was such a talent and will be sadly missed.

Wonderful singer.

So sad. I was wondering about him a few days ago.

Just read about his passing online. Very sad...his songs bring back lots of good memories of my high school years.

I just heard that song 2 days ago -- I hadn't heard it in years. I just downloaded it from itunes and really listened to the lyrics closely. I always wondered why my sister used it as a ringtone for my dad. Now I know why....and I'm all weepy.

That's too bad. He and his music will be sorely missed.

One of the few holiday songs I actually look forward to hearing.

Ohhh....that song came out just when my dad was killed and the words were so appropriate. I cried for years when I heard that song.

My dad is in his 80's and very ill health from smoking for 70 years or so.

I don't expect him to last very much longer.

I thought of him when I thought of this song.

We drank a toast to innocence,
We drank a toast to now.
And tried to reach beyond the emptiness,
But neither one knew how.

One of the XM channels is having a tribute to him now. "The Loft", Channel 50.

Oh, I loooooooooooooove that song.
