Recruitment is coming....I'M SO EXCITED!!
Ok so recruitment is about a month away! I can't wait!
Anyway, I signed up for recruitment and it asked for my high school GPA. I am a transfer student. In high school i didn't do that great. Part of the reason/the only reason I was not accepted to the current university I am currently at is because my GPA wasn't spectacular. Will my high school GPA be that important?? I did AMAZINGLY well the past year at my other university which is why they let me transfer. I am just nervous that my not so great past will finally catch up to me. |
It's really hard to say what any random chapter is going to think about anything BUT, here's how I would look at it (if I was deciding your fate): Highschool is tough for a lot of girls who are in that awkward stage, and then they get to college and shine. Also, the fact that you brought your grades UP your freshman year of college proves that you are capable, and know what it takes to survive college.
Ok, that ended up being pretty random rambling, but I'll just say that as long as you're not going to a SUPERcompetitve school where sophomores have a hard time getting a bid anyway, you should be fine.:D |
List your high school AND college GPAs. In my experience, they look at the most recent performance. If your college GPA is significantly better than your high school GPA, this can only work in your favor.
Most ask for HS GPA b/c so many freshmen rush. |
as adpiucf stated, most girls rushing are freshman and only have h.s. gpa/ i wonder if you really need to list it since you are transferring from another college and have a college gpa you could list instead.
you could call the greeklife office at the school where you are going to rush and simply ask if it is necessary for a college transfer to list her hs gpa. don't volunteer the reason that you want to know-you don't even need to identify yourself. |
I was always told you don't have to list your high school GPA if you are a transfer; only list your college GPA. Again, it depends on the climate of your recruitment, however.

ask your Greek Coordinator about the GPA thingy...
GOOD LUCK TO YOU! |
I ditto the last post! I would call your Greek Life office and get the specific info on the GPA!!!
