Road Trip CD
I'm making a Road Trip CD for someone and need some track suggestions. Can y'all help, please?!
I'm thinking mostly current stuff. This is what I've come up with so far: The Killers – Mr. Brightside Matchbox Twenty – How Far We’ve Come Blue October – Calling You Daughtry – Home |
I still love "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol
|
"to be young" by ryan adams
"one trick pony" by Nelly Furtado (anything from her folklore cd is great) "portions for foxes" rilo kiley "crazy game of poker" or "home" O.A.R. "annie" by vanessa carlton "jolene" by cake i'll think of more, but i'm at work and can't access my itunes or full ruckus playlist |
I know it's not new, but IMHO, every road trip MUST start with On The Road Again by Willie Nelson, cranked.

ooo i found this on a message board, it has a lot of different ideas, perhaps you could make 2 cd's or a cd for you as well? lol
I have to add sublime (the entire 40oz to freedom and sublime albums) but specifically what i got, santeria, krs-one, rivers of babylon, scarlet begonias (the phil lesh and friends cover is the best tho) beautiful day by U2 "american girl" tom petty (anything by him) oh ya, btw you prob won't get that many new things from me either, I mix old school with new, etc... i just love how music makes you feel can make all the difference in your mood, your atmosphere:o |
Just a few to start before I run to lunch - just d/l these and trust me:
"Run Run Run" - Phoenix "Do You Remember" - Cheeseburger "D.A.N.C.E." - Justice "Oxford Comma" - Vampire Weekend More to come? |
Thanks guys/gals for the suggestions.
I failed to mention that the CD is for a guy. Although I love all genres of music and can jam to anything, he probably won't be digging any of the pop stuff. Keep the suggestions coming though...please! :) |
Quote:
"The Equestrian" - Les Savy Fav "No Pussy Blues" - Grinderman "A Pillar of Salt" - The Thermals "Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt" - We Are Scientists "Tiger" - Cheeseburger If he wants a beat: "Trill" - Clipse "Stronger" - Kanye West (I know it's ubiquitous, but even this hipster dork has to admit it's probably the best song released this year) "None Shall Pass" - Aesop Rock "Paper Planes" - MIA "Bubbles" - Dizzee Rascal "Here I Come" - The Roots If he's alt-rock-y, I have 10000000 songs . . . need more help here, ace. |
