Greeks at Service Academies and Zerbin Singleton, Omega Psi Phi

I'm not sure if there's been a thread on this topic or not but there are NPHC Greeks at the service acadamies, West Point, Annapolis, etc. Even though Greeks aren't recognized on campus, members are affiliated with the local graduate chapters. Are there NPC, non-NPHC-afiiliated NIC, NALFO, etc. Greeks there also?

The following link is an announcement of 2007 Disney's Wide World of Sports Spirit Award. The winner, Zerbin Singleton, a senior slot back at the U.S. Naval Academy, is a brother of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Friend, GC is not my life. Didn't think to do search of previous threads.

It was not my intent to even suggest that you should have. I merely presenting a link to a lively discussion about the same topic that I felt you would enjoy.

As you'll note in the other thread--Greek Life in the traditional sense isn't really something that would go over well at West Point or the Naval Academy. Its also important to note that sometimes academy men and women attend other universities before attending the academies, therefore it is possible that they would be members of GLOs prior to attending the academy.

The NPHCs are different given their community nature--but I can say with some conviction that there will likely never be an NPC or IFC kind of chapter at a national military academy. And I can say this because I have known members of similar, unsanctioned activities punished and their groups squashed.

The search function is always your friend.

And it was noted that some became members while attending the academies

And in other ways, too. And since you don't know our processes, pkease leave the NPHC out of your argument altogether.
