Letter's Question.
 

I was looking at a website that had different baseball team patterns for your letters on shirts, however they didn't have a Red Sox pattern. I was wondering if I could just buy Red Sox material and bring it to a place and they could make it for me? Or any other options? My mom said she could make it but she doesn't have an outline for the letters or anything. I'm sorry I'm new at this, I just got initiated earlier this month. Thanks for the help guys!

okay this is what you can do...you CAN take it to your local greek shop, I know ours does do it. You just need a certain amount. OR you can do it at home really easy but making a photocopy of your letters and printing it out on paper that is strong but flexible. (I like to use a cut down half of a manila folder). Then cut it out. If you want a easy stitch, use a gentle iron on paper and iron it on to the back of your favorite fabrics. Then flip over the stencil (so it's backwards) and trace it onto the iron-on paper side of the fabric. Then cut out the letters, peel off the paper, and iron onto your shirt (right side up!). Then use a machine to sew them permanently into place. (If you'd rather not sew then use a strong iron on paper and use puffy paint to seal the edges. Some chapters do not allow puffy paint letters so make sure to follow protocol!) Enjoy!

I want to find small iron-on letters -- like one inch or so. Preferably not the thick material either, kind of like this: http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.j...RODID=prd10285 but greek letters.

We got printed shirts and they don't have our letters on it, so I wanted to put them on, but it's not going to be like the four inch letter shirts.

This thread ( http://greekchat.com/gcforums/showth...hlight=letters ) has a link for the patterns of all the Greek letters. The Delta is not a equilateral triangle so that may be a problem for the OP.

I have seen professional team logo fabric at the chain fabric stores such as JoAnn's and the remaining Hancock's. Usually the teams reflect the area teams. If you live in the Boston area and you strike out at JoAnn's, try Fabric Place. The Framingham store is their largest location.

Prewash and heat dry your fabric and clothing item to remove the sizing. To iron the letters to the shirt, I would recommend Heat and Bond for all fusible applique as opposed to WonderUnder. If you sew your letters on a sweatshirt, you will not need any stabilizer. For t-shirts, you should use tearaway stabilizer or even freezer paper. I would recommend satin-stitching over a zigzag stitch. If you decide to zigzag, make sure you seal the raw edges with FrayCheck.
