Delta Tau Delta (wvu chapter)

Hi,
I'm new on this forum. My buddy at Bethany wanted to know how long the wvu chapter has been shutdown?( I know it hasnt been long) I transferred to wvu last year. I'm a Junior I'm actually interested in starting it back up again. Can someone explain the process to me and the chances of getting this approved since it hasn't been that long?

Thanks

You would probably get better and more informative information by e-mailing the Delta Tau Delta website. There is usually a director of expansion who can answer your questions.

Their chapter closed last fall.

Well, considering the history of DTD at WVU...the chances of starting them back up in the foreseeable future is like finding an icicle in hell.

They alienated their alumni like nothing else. Their house now belongs to WVU and is occupied by SAE.

Well I'm a Delt at Miami of ohio, and we just got our charter back... I know we were kicked off because of our actions and not a lack of members. With this we HAD to be off campus for 5 years to clear out all the previous Delts before we could become a Colony. I know for us Central Office came to Miami and recruited our founding fathers and Central Office was responsible for us coming back on campus. From the previous post, saying that they were not the best behaved fraternity, you probably cannot do anything and will have to wait the 5 year "punishment." Also, to the comment previously made about them not coming back, I know for a fact that we were kicked off several times during our history at Miami and we still came back. It's just a matter of time.
