iPod/Zune question
Two of my sons want iPods or Zunes for Christmas. We can't go top of the line and I'd really like to know what y'all would suggest that's good quality but not high priced!
|
What about getting them iPod shuffles? They're pretty inexpensive (I think around $75 now), although they don't really have all the features of other iPods like being able to select songs and create playlists. Otherwise I've heard good things about Zen players from my friends who have them.

What about the iPod shuffles? Target has them on sale for $77.
They are about 1GB, which only holds 240 songs, but they are the most affordable. |
Which age group are they? I would think if they're over 14 they'll want/need more than 1GB of room. While iPod is the most known and Zune is backed by Microsoft you don't have to stick to those brands. Sony Walkman MP3 players are affordable and good quality. I personally went with a Samsung and love it!

They're 17 and 15.

get them nanos...shuffles are lame
if you want to get zunes...the new ones are 149 and in some respects are more feature rich than nanos ipod - www.apple.com zune - http://www.zune.net/en-US/ |
When I was researching MP3 players I found a lot of helpful information on cnet. http://reviews.cnet.com/?tag=hd_ts

iPods are nice but they are not always the best out if you do your research. |
I saw on Apple.com they have refurbished iPod Nanos for $79 which is a great deal. They completely strip the inside and replace it so really the only difference between that and a new one is the outside might be scuffed up a bit! The refurbished ones even come with the same warranty as the new ones!
