O Tannenbaum: West VA U Sigma Alpha Epsilon
Hey boys and girls, it's that time of the year again. Yes, I mean time for another news story about a fraternity stealing / cutting down a Christmas tree and getting caught.
Here's the first one I've noticed this year, from station WBOY, an NBC affiliate. It deals with Sigma Alpha Epsilon's chapter at West Virginia U. http://www.wboy.com/story.cfm?func=v...&storyid=31946 |
Update
According to a news report http://www.tradingmarkets.com/.site/...20News/882585/ the chapter will be on probation, will have to pay $1,100 restitution, will have to perform 500 hours of community service, and will have to reimburse the mother of one of its members for the cost of an artificial tree that was apparently bought to replace the tree that was cut down. From a strictly practical and financial standpoint, in this case it would have been cheaper and easier to have followed the Commandment about not stealing. |
Amen.:D
