Diet of the Week
So we guys here about all sorts of different diets that you girls are on -- everything from lemon juice and maple syrup to 100% protein... what's the latest floating around the houses these days? Is it working?
|
Actually I started doing this every-other day thing.
No starving, and you don't feel deprived. Basically, every other day I go vegan having little or no oil, no bread, and no granulated sugar. There is a LOT that you can have actually and there are no limits on how much food (but being sensible is wise). The other days, I eat normal food and just don't go crazy (eat normally). I have lost two dress sizes in 3.5 months without adding additional excercise (time is valuable). So, this will help you loose weight in a safe and sensible manner without being too fast or too slow. It also doesn't cost much and is super easy. Yay! |
hmmm... sounds reasonable enough. :) So what do you eat on those days?

Actually, my school does a really good job with making things Vegan.
(We were in the top 10 schools this year for that). If there isn't really anything I want or looks appetising, I'll have a salad. The salad would be the spring greens with anything else in it - usually tofu too- and either fat-free dressing or Balsamic vinegar with no oil(which I prefer). For dessert I will occasionally have fruit juice sorbet or my school has a vegan chocolate cake that is made with ground barley and corn flour without usingsugar to sweeten it ( a whole slice is only 90 cal!). In the morning I make a soy protein shake or smoothie using whey protein powder and soy milk (mix cholate soy w/chocolate whey powder and a bit of ice - it tastes just like a milkshake with less than 200 cal!). Substituions make a big difference and I have never found a diet I could commit to before this because I made it up for myself. Use it if you want too. Be fore-warned the first day you will be going back and forth from the bathroom like 10X's - but I dicovered later that is really just your body flushing stuff out. |
Uh, not to be rude or anything...But what does this have to do with Greek Life?
Good luck with your diet at any rate  |
