Hulk Hogan's wife seeks Divorce!

*Sadness* I can't imagine being Hulk Hogan and finding out via a news reporter!!

Whoa that's crazy. I see some episodes of 'Hogan knows best' from time to time and did see some where they did the whole martial counseling thing, but whoa... to have to find out via the press really sucks.

With this most recent celebrity breakup, a lot of people are talking about the marriage curse of reality TV: Jessica and Nick, Carmen and Dave, Shanna and Travis, K-Fed and Brit Brit.

It's funny because Linda and the Hulk didn't fit the reality TV divorce "mold". They were married for 20+ years. They have grown children and a solid family.

I pray that Ozzy and Sharon and Rev. Run and Justine do not ever find this same fate.

What about Gene Simmons and his wife?

I haven't watched Family Jewels in a long time, so I wouldn't know for sure...but Gene and Shannon Tweed? I don't think they're actually married. I remember there was an episode where the thought of marriage scared the isht outta him. They've been together over 20 years as well.

Oh ok, I haven't watched that in a while so I wasn't sure if they were actually married or not.

I haven't watched in a while as well, but I do remember the episode where Shannon and family played a practical joke on him when they "tricked" him into an ambush wedding (to get back at him for something else). It wasn't a real Rabbi.

Oh wait, I think I did see that one.

Re: the Hogans thing, I find it hard to believe that marriage just went so kaput all of a sudden and I do feel bad for Hulk if it's true. I read something in the last day or so that some are speculating whether it's a distraction from the trouble Nick is in. If they split up the property, the family of the kid in Nick's accident would have a harder time collecting as much, or something to that effect... Hate to be that cynical, but it could be, I guess...

My cousin and I were talking about the divorce this on Wed. and this is what he told me. That Linda is filing for divorce just to stop any lawsuit. That if they stay together and the family of the victim (in that accident Nick had)decide to sue, that htey could take them for pretty much all the Hogan's are worth. But if Hulk and Linda divorce, that they won't be able to collect as much if the family sues. Who knows.

So if the wife gets custody of Nick, and she doesn't get any money from Hulk, that could prevent that family from getting much of anything if she has custody of Nick???

I don't remember where I read it, but some celebrity gossip website was speculating that maybe they were divorcing to protect half their assets...that if the car Nick was driving is under Hulk's name and not Linda's, then the victim's family would only be able to go after Hulk's half of the assets and not after Linda's.

Smart move! Nick is a douchebag but I think Linda and Hulk have good hearts. Nick should have to do some hard time and pay lots of fines, but I think for the other family to go after Linda and Hulk's assets is just looking for revenge.
