Need some motivation....
Hey ladies!
So, I am back at FSU (slow poke!) and I am looking for some recruiting ideas that would entice people to be a part of this lovely organization. Although, we had enough to bring about an interest group this semester, they decided not to do it. Also, how could I draft a letter asking for an advisor to oversee the progression of the group? Me and some other women were planning to look into getting a phone number so that we don't put our own numbers up on flyers. Is that a good idea? Also, what about an e-mail address that would not be disrespectful to Gamma Sigma Sigma? Could we use something like "info4gss@yahoo.com"? Some of you all now that I have been an interest for some time now and I am praying that this will be end of an ending of searching and hoping. Thanks all a whole bunch. Cynthia |
Hey Cynthia,
Before you and the other ladies do ANYTHING you need to contact our National Membership Director at membership@gammasigmasigma.org . I was aware of the interest group that was there prior but the NMD would have more details as to why it didn't fly (and there are specific reasons). So definitely email her right away! |
I agree with my sister 100%. It is wonderful to hear of new interest in Gamma Sig.
However, there is a standard process that interested students must follow. Do contact the National Membership Director, and in the meantime, I suggest refraining from using "Gamma Sigma Sigma" or related "interest group" verbiage from any email addresses, phone numbers, documentation, flyers, etc. Good luck in your endeavor. |
^^^^agrees 1952% on the verbiage as well.
Thanks sis for adding that! And congrats on AXiD!! :D |
Hey Ranita and Ree,
I will contact her soon because we are still planning to bring the organzation to campus. Thanks for the kind words and help as always! Cynthia |

Thanks, sis! It is the culmination of a process began 18 years ago, and something that is very special to me. Gamma Sig and AXiD hold different places in my heart and exist for different reasons...there is no comparison of the two.:) |
