Hi there I am a member of Sigma Nu at Texas Tech, and I was wondering what fraternities and sororities have been closed at Texas Tech? And a side note, which ones were started back up.

Currently active fraternities:

Alphaa Tau Omega closed 199?-2007
Delta Tau Delta closed 1998-2002
Sigma Phi Epsilon closed 1999-2003
Delta Sigma Phi closed 19??-1984
Chi Psi closed 1995-2002
Pi Kappa Phi closed 199?-1998

Closed fraternities:

Pi Lambda Phi 1972-1975
Lambda Chi Alpha 1976-200?
Delta Upsilon 1985-1987
Zeta Psi 1999-200?

Closed sororities:
Sigma Kappa 1955-1985
Gamma Phi Beta 1956-19?? & 1989-200?
Phi Mu 1959-1981

I have always been upset with My Fraternity LXA about not posting both closures and either re chartering or colonizing!

While we as Brothes/Sisters have a right to know, it will give each and everyone of us an insight of the good, the bad, and the ugly!

What are they doing right and what they are doing bad and why!

I appreciate that information, it just kind of interests me. I know that ATO was recharted this semester on my campus and I am not positive but I believe that Pike is being kicked off, and I don't know exactly when Teke was kicked off. But those were the only three that I actually knew of that had anything happen to them.

My sympathies.

Its cool, we have similar organizations with similar size. We are competitive but I would say we are still somewhat dominant, but we had a blackfeet/whitefeet party last semester that was really fun and nothing bad happened. So I guess you could say we have a good relationship with them.
