Missing JSU Student
Sorors and Sistergreeks-
It's happened again. A young woman, Latasha Norman,is missing from Jackson State University. I didn't know how to post the email to GC, so I am posting the link from Jackson State. Please pray for her family. http://www2.jsums.edu/pressroom2/article.cfm?id=756 |
It's hitting too close to home. 2 sorors who are close to me have daughters up there. I pray for their safety and for the safe return of Ms. Norman. :(
|
Oh wow that's in Mississippi. I'm going to forward that link to friends.
|
Thanks for spreading the word. There are still no developments. The only thing that has been stated is that she was trying to break it off with her boyfriend and that her tires were slashed a week before she went missing.
We as women need to make sure we are extra careful. Not saying the boyfriend is a suspect, but the previous cases of missing women typically follow this type of pattern. |
This is scary...I wonder if there have been any updates? She has been missing for about a week now...
|
Hey you guys-
Still no information on Latasha's whereabouts. The day the news of her disappearance, guess what happened?? That's right, Natalie Holloway took front page. I was so upset. Anyway, continue to pray and I'll keep you all updated when I hear something. |
I certainly hope the authorities find this young lady. Maybe we can put forth an e-broadcast to the blogosphere, myspace and facebook pages to increase the efforts? I would say, if we have hackers, we send this info through virus that brings this young lady up in a pop-up adware type location...
I'd send this to MSNBC, too... Let's take our technology expertise and start using it to our advantage. |

News circulating is that this will not end on happy note. Once more information is available, it will be posted.

My heart is so sad over this ending for so many reasons. My prayers are with Ms. Norman's family and the JSU community. I just don't know what to say abut the ex's mother. :(
|
Update: The ex's mother hasn't been linked to the murder yet. The obstruction of justice charge was because she refused to to allow the police to arrest her son. Click on the link below to read the updates: www.clarionledger.com

But the bolded is the sad part. When I first read "obstruction of justice", I thought the mother might have actually helped her son hide the body. Maybe I'm just too honest, but I'd hope as a mother I'd be very emotional (to say the least) by the situaton but still cooperative with the authorities. Her child murdered someone else's child that he claimed to love, and he has to face the consequences. Also, the Norman family deserves to see the justce process getting started which might provide some solace. Here's a quote from the Clarion Ledger that gave me (and probably others) a small bit of solace: Quote:
