I thought The Compass was supposed to come out twice a year? Has anyone gotten their copy lately???

Yes, I believe there are supposed to be two issues a year. I was actually thinking the same thing recently. The last issue I remember getting was the one after Convention '06 with the green cover. Have there been any issues since then? Although, now that I'm thinking about it, I seem to vaguely remember that it's rare to get two in a year. Anyone else have any info?

When should I expect to get my first copy?

I was initiated in February and still haven't gotten one, so it's hard telling.

I haven't recieved an issue of the Compass since either of you were initiated. I'd imagine you'll both recieve copies as soon as the next issue comes out. Make sure your alumnae dues are paid, if applicable & your address is up to date with National Office to be sure!

If there are any current National Officers on here (calling AnatraAmore!), they might be able to tell you who the contact person is for The Compass. The name escapes me of who it was when I was a BOD. Or, posting on the Guest Book on the website might get some answers too!

Pardon the crash, but sometimes these things take a while. In ASA, your Phoenix is mailed out by member number, so even if you were initiated, if you don't have a member number yet, you won't get a copy. I was initiated in April and when the fall Phoenix came out, I didn't get a copy because I still don't have a member number. I contacted or PR person through our sisters-only site and she made sure that the secretary at HQ mailed me a copy. Those of you who haven't got your Compass yet should do the same thing. HQs usually have tons of recent back issues lying around.

Hi all! I was actually thinking the same thing! The last one I got was in January/February of this year. I wonder what happened? I have the email address for the editor of the Compass if someone would like to email her and see if we can figure out what's going on. :)

I have not received mine yet. And I have paid my Alumna dues. So how long should it take?

I doubt anyone here knows exactly how long it should take. Maybe emailing National Office directly will get you an answer--my internet is being weird so I can't get the address right now but I believe it's on the main Theta Phi Alpha page. In my experience, they're usually very helpful & prompt in answering emails.

I just wanted to let you all know that I finally received my Fall 2007 Compass today.

And guess what- my name is in it! It says that I am an alumna initiate- the first one for my AA.
