Sorority and Fraternity Connections
 

Well my fraternity is a little new to the block and we are looking for any suggestions you have. We are trying to come up with some suggestions on broadening our relationships with the sororities on our campus. Any good mixer ideas or any other interactions that have worked well with you would be greatly appreciated.

Serenades are usually a good way to get some interaction going. (Your fraternity goes and sings to a sorority). A BBQ or even spaghetti dinners also have good feedback. Food, most times, promises a good turnout ;-)

another really great way is to sponsor a bar party with another org and donate the like 3-5 dollars the bar gives you toward your philanthropy. We got a local popular band to play for free and donated all the money to ACS ours and delta chi's muscular dystrophy (their local philanthropy at my school) and it was a BLAST.

Just run some sort of joint philanthropy so you can meet a lot of girls in your target sorority. Hopefully they will fall in love with your fraternity and start hanging out more.

Well we do serenade, and we are going to have roughly 3 mixers in the spring. Hopefully this will help broaden our connections with the greek community. Feel free to keep giving more ideas, there are always ways to make improvement. Thank you for your suggestions.

We once went bowling with a fraternity. It may seem lame, but it was pretty fun! It just depends on the size of your groups.

We did a reverse Trick or Treat. We dressed up and went to houses and collected canned goods for the food bank.

Just take your dates to Conference and give them lots of booze.
