Missing KA
 

I just received an email from one of my sorority sisters. The cousin of one of our sisters is missing. He was at a bar after the Dane Cook show in Charlotte this weekend and apparently disappeared. Students at Elon are apparently coming out in full force to help search. One of his KA brothers started the facebook group dedicated to finding Kyle.

There are missing signs for him EVERYWHERE in downtown charlotte. I was at that Dane Cook show, it was on a Thursday and the signs were plastered all downtown Saturday night when I was out again. I saw something on the news about it last night too.

So sad, I hope they get to the bottom of this.

Still no word on his whereabouts. They're getting a group together to search on foot this afternoon, and they've done a fantastic job contacting the media, although most outlets aren't covering the story yet.

This is awful. Praying that he is found soon.

Maybe THAT'S what the police helicopter was doing hovering over my office...we're just a few miles out of uptown. I'll definitely keep my eyes open if I have to leave my office.

A couple of guys I work with know him.. makes the story hit home that much more.

Just an FYI - they had some tracking dogs yesterday in uptown who followed his scent for a few blocks, but then it was lost.:(

There were a lot of people searching last night from about 8 until 4. It's amazing how many people who don't know Kyle are helping out.

Here's the facebook group. When I joined, there were less than 1,000 people. There are almost 25,000 now. Kyle's story is nearly identical to Justin Gaines, a male who disappeared under similar circumstances a week earlier in Georgia.

I know they'll be out searching this morning. Hopefully they can find more before it rains too much to wash the scent away. I'm so amazed at the response from everyone, especially at Elon. It makes me proud to be an alum :)
