i am transferring to a school in the north in the fall of 08 that has a semi-large greek system. a few of my friends know people there in sororities and one of them, who is an alum but still lives in the area has offered to give me a tour of their house when i go up in the spring for orientation. is that okay?? i don't really know how things like that work so i was just asking advice..thanks

Check with the campus Panhellenic at that school. However, I would argue (and so would nearly every Greek woman on Greek Chat) that unless it is the week before recruitment or recruitment week itself, there are no restrictions.

This may be an infraction of silence and contact rules but that would be on the sorority, not on you.
