I'm getting a real licking in Greek Life and Chit Chat - what's wrong with GC??? I seem to be attracting a lot of rude and immature GCers and the more I try to defend myself, the worse it gets! Can someone explain to me why GC is like this? Anyone wanna come to my defense here in these threads??? Could really use the help! :(

Look, you're only making it worse.

First, there have been some REALLY crazy GCers including one ZTA who really topped the crop. So you may get some responses along that line.

Everyone on here has different personalities. Some people are more abrasive, some just join in on a good snarkfest, some will stop and give a polite answer even when none is deserved.

It is NOT personal. You're taking it personally. You are not being targeted. A lot of people come on here and say things that they don't realize will get them snarked or yelled at. It happens. Take your lumps, take a step away from the keyboard, and realize that it's not about YOU, it's that you haven't seen the bigger picture yet.

If you'd prefer a message board where everyone says "Good Post!" and pats themselves on the back for being nice *in public* then feel free to go. Those of us here prefer real attitudes, not fake ones. Some of the people who are on that board are in the Top 10 for meanness online. But they feel justified in doing it to the "meanies" they see on GC.

It's your decision, but stop whining about it in the process. Many people here call it like they see it. We'll continue to do so.

We are sisters, but that doesn't mean that I will side with you if I feel you are in the wrong. I would expect the same thing in return.

I have said lots of things that my sisters do not agree with... I know when to leave them out of the issue and take up for myself. If there is a geniune need for their assistance, I ask for it in PRIVATE.

I think if someone says or does things they should be willing to defend themselves first and foremost. I should know.

People haven't said I'm in the wrong - they've been reduced to calling me names. I certainly didn't expect people to follow me into my org's forum to further call me out. Sorry, but that's not playing fair (and we left nice a long time ago). I'm sick of the crap on GC and when I said that (something a whole other forum agrees with me on ) I get jumped on again. I refuse to be someone else's entertainment. Period. I don't expect other people to agree with me, but there's no need for the snarking that goes on on GC.

Get over it and grow up. Oh yeah... Why don't you just leave here and stay in happy rainbow pony land? I mean, if it is so bad, then leave and quit whining.

If you don't like it, leave. No one's begging for you to stay. And if a whole other forum agrees with you, then why not just post over there? And life's not fair, I learned that in kindergarten when my nemesis stole the leading role from in the winter pageant. (I'm still bitter about that.)

Stop entertaining. Type about something else. You aren't the star of every thread you post in. That's because you blend in when you aren't trying to stick out.

It's posts like these that do nothing but call attention to you. I really think you have a hard time figuring out what's name calling and what isn't.

If you seriously think you're going to single-handedly change how things are, good luck. Learn how to let things go. You make things worse each time you leave one of these posts.

For the record, people are allowed to forum crash as long as they keep within the guidelines set forth by the forum mods. I don't think any of the posts in here have violated anything.
