What are your feelings on malt liquor? Which 40 do YOU prefer? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I definitely have 2 solid choices now that I've finished my taste test. Ol' E is dependable and not too harsh. Steel Reserve is what I get if I'm in the mood for something stronger. I'd probably say the 40 I don't generally like would be a toss up between st. ides and magnum.

I like malt liquor because the cost/benefit ratio is fantastic, and if one drinks 1 or 2 before a party they are good to go. However, I for one tend to drink more beer later on and this tends to lead to an animated night of vomiting by the time I return home. I plan to conquer this weakness within this summer, and move onto greater monsters such as finding the meaning of life and ending poverty.

I'm an OE kid - I even know a guy who still claims to be majoring in olde english, and the only class he needs is OE800 . . . bad joke for real

We didn't drink too many 40-dogs when I was in school, but the couple of times we did, it was Mickey's. I think that's what the guys in House of Pain drank too. One guy in my house was all about OE and drank it at every party. This other guy used to drink Schlitz Malt Liquor at our parties. He would pay $2.00 for a 4-pack of 16-ounce cans. Not a bad deal.

Chief, I totally looked over Schlitz. I can't stand it. The taste is just too much for me. Plus I hate the idea of cans of malt liquor. For some reason, none of the stores near nyu would sell 40's...it was all in 4 and 6 packs. It just didn't feel right though. There's definitely something regal about double fisting the bottles...

I definitely have to go with the bumblebee, Mickey's. Let's just say it's family tradition...
