Happy 135 Years!!

One Hundred and Thirty Five Years...
Today, We Celebrate Our History.

I believe in my Fraternity.

I believe in the friendships formed in the springtime of my youth.

I believe in its high ideals which lift me up beyond myself.

I believe in its earnest drive for good scholarship, moral character, and genuine culture.

I believe in it as a shrine of international sisterhood wherein I may find love and loyalty, sympathy and understanding, inspiration and opportunity.

I believe in it as a creator of good citizenship, helping me to do my work well, to live in harmony with others, and to serve my country and to trust in God.

I believe in my Fraternity.

I believe in Alpha Phi.
-Annette Holt Hitchcock, Pi 1912

In 1872, 10 young women gathered together in a small room and made a promise. Their promise was simple but filled with power. Their promise, which is now very old, remains remarkable and relevant today.

Happy Founder's Day Sisters!!

Happy Founders Day to all my sisters across the country!!!

The Founders Day I went to yesterday was OFF THE CHAIN!
There were alumnae and collegiates from Berkeley, Santa Clara, SF State, San Jose State, CSU East Bay (epchick, they told me to tell you hello!) :

Here are some videos

As I mentioned before, each collegiate chapter got together and sang a song that screamed Alpha Phi to them and some did skits

Here is the video of the Santa Clara University girls. They did a song to the tune of Fergie's "Glamorous" and called it "Classy".

Glamourous

They also did the Founder's Day Closing song
I Will Remember You

That is an impressive Founder's Day! Can I come next year?

I haven't seen pref in a few years, so I got all choked up watching them sing I Will Remember You. It's my favorite Alpha Phi song. And my chapter sang the real version the first year we won Greek Sing (while doing it in sign language). Oh the memories!

Laura, sure come on over! I got plenty of room if you wanna stay (hey if I can survive 13 Phis at my house for 2 days...)

Ok so how do I get a copy of the words for this new awesome song? I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner, but my alma mater has deferred recruitment and this song would be great for skit day!!
