Scary Movies

In my quest to continue to be cheap...I was looking to see what scary type halloween movies were coming on this month. Seems like abc family is offering a gold mine for people like me. Poltergeist, It, corpse bride...etc. Easy way to scare those people who scare easily.

Yup, I can't wait. I love the month of October because I love scary movies. I stay up all night watching these.:D

Good thread.:)

Lets start a list of some good Halloween movies to watch

Classics:

Halloween 1 and 2
Friday the 13th
Hellraiser 1 and 2
Nightmare on Elm Street
Children of the Corn
Child's Play
Evil Dead
The Crow

New Stuff (kinda hard cuz some of this new sutff isn't so good)

Saw
28 Days Later
Audition
Oldboy
Dawn of the Dead
1408
High Tension

Sidebar...why is it that a lot of potentially good flicks get ruined because of a PG 13 rating?

I came up on blood guts and @ss in my horror flicks and we weren't wusses...PG 13 sucks

How about "Wrong Turn". That's one of the scariest movies I've ever seen.

How about the Village...that seemed decent, and i think abc family is showing that one too.

THE scariest/most disturbing movie I've ever heard of (and wish I hadn't seen) is Last House on the Left, bar none. Seriously.

See, I was raised on that kind of horror and it just doesn't hit the spot anymore. I saw all of those movies before my 10th birthday.

Although, I'm a stickler for Stephen King movies. My favorite since I was 10---"IT". Seriously, greatest movie everrrrrr. "Mysery" is a good one. So is, "Redrum"--I can't remember what it's actually called. Oh, and "Rose Garden", I think it was called.

I don't reccomend any of the follow-ups to the "The Exorcist". I've seen every single one and nothing tops the original. "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" was pretty good though.

I did enjoy 1408, but everyone I was with laughed the whole way through. "The Village" was a waste of my time and yours.

The "Omen" movies were pretty good as well. Although, I've still never seen the 6th one.

I <3 the "Saw" movies!

Children of the Corn
Nightmare on Elm Street
The Exorcist (slept with the lights on for two weeks after I saw that)
The Shining
The Crow (wasn't really scary per se, but still a good flick)
