You apparently do NOT have a completely open mind since you already refused a bid. You could have pledged and given it a try.
Don't count on spring rush...there may be a few openings, but more than likely they will be filled with friends of sisters already in the sororities.
There are simply more women than there are openings in sororities...and more women than there are openings in "preferred" sororities.

Send me a pm (private message) with your questions. There is no reason to post to a broad audience here because you will only be reprimanded by people, who for the large part don't understand campus culture, for not giving that one house a shot.

Just curious, was your one invite to preference the same that offered you a COB? All of the Bama sororities are wonderful houses. As a sophomore, you would have to have a really open mind and with all of the wonderful houses, you can't go wrong in any of them.

Sounds like I missed the chase scene in the movie. I should never have gone out for jujubes

OP went through rush at 'Bama, messed up with her recs, didn't get her top picks. Invited to Pref by one, dropped out of recruitment. Participated in COB and received an open bid. Refused it. Wants to go through rush again next year as a Sophomore.
