ok, is it just me or is anyone else having this problem with Napster, I used to be able to find a whole bunch of stuff and now I can't find anything or pull up anything fairly new. so whats the deal, are they just slowly closing down?

I gave up on Napster after the hearings ended. In order to find a song you literally need to misspell the artist's name. I wanted to find a particular Destiny's Child song...so I typed in Destiny Child and Destany Child and even Deschild before I got some songs.

I really like the iMesh program to dl my music. I believe the url to get that site is in the "GNUTELLA" thread.

that totally sucks, yeah I know about the spellings, I have had to do some off the wall spellings to find stuff, but i'll try the one you mentioned, does it take up as much space as napster does?

I'll look into this, but I think the program itself is bigger than Napster. Dl-ing things on iMesh doesn't limit you to just mp3s. You can download different kinds of audio and media files.

Hey Guys:
I was the one who started the gnutella post and listen tonight I finally got around to downloading imesh (and got rid of gnutella) and I love it. It is so easy to use and so much faster then napster, in an hour i already have like 20 songs downloaded. Seriously, it is so easy to use . i think the link is www.zdnet.com but if it doesn't work check the other thread.

I still use napster and have just found out that you can get around the filters if you spell certain artists backwards.
