NIMC: National Interfraternity Music Council
 

What is the NIMC, what does it do, and when/where does it meet?All I know is that it is a council over the seven music fraternities: Delta Omicron, Mu Phi Epsilon, Phi Beta, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Sigma Alpha Iota, Tau Beta Sigma, and, of course, Kappa Kappa Psi.

It's not really a council "over" these 7 groups, at least not in the same sense as the Professional Fraternity Association (from which Phi Mu Alpha recently withdrew), the North American Interfraternity Conference, the National Panhellenic Conference or the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

It's simply a council comprised of the presidents of the orgs that you listed. The 7 presidents meet annually to discuss matters of mutual interest to these orgs. Whether there is any desire for it to develop into anything more, or whether it will do so, I don't know.
