Bid Night Celebration Ideas
 

Hey all,

We are welcoming our first new member class on Monday night, and I am looking for some fun ideas for the celebration. The Panhellenic bid night celebration starts at 8 PM, and since it is a Monday night, we don't want to have anything that goes too late, but we want to let the girls know that we're super excited to have them as our new members.

During the Panhel celebration, all five of the sororities go onto "The Cut," which is a lawn area between our theater building and the university center. The NM's arrive with their bid night shirt on underneath a sweatshirt to cover it up. Then, they walk out to the center with the rest of their Rho Sig group, take off their sweatshirts to reveal the bid night shirt underneath, and run to their new house.

Our bid night shirt is "No place like home" with the yellow brick road on the back and the Emerald City. Our theme for recruitment has been along the lines of family and home (because we are so small), so we could continue that, or we could go with something totally different. We just want our new members to feel special, and also to start some new traditions.
