Non- traditional and interested in BGLO
I am thirty five years old and going back to college to complete my bachelor's degree. While I am in school I want to join a BGLO (Fraternity).
I am well aware that joining the particular frat that I want to join requires a commitment to a "process". It is my desire to join at the undergraduate level instead of waiting until after I graduate to join a local alumni chapter. I can only assume that most undergrad frat members are considerably younger than me. As I move forward in my pursuance of this goal I want be very wise in my decision to do it. I am also married. I would appreciate any knowledge, advice, or opinions. In imparting your wisdom, think in terms of your experiences of the BGLO "undergraduate process". Thanks! |
1) Go to the website of the org you want to join and review their rules and regulations and processes.
2) I would talk to members on your campus and get to know them. Not just as members of a fraternity, but as men. If they like you, they'll want you. If you don't fit in with them, you'll know. That's all you need to know.... now get off the internet and get out there and start meeting people! |
Best of luck to you, travelman357, as you head back to school! It takes a lot of strength and determination to return after an absence.

As been said, it will depend on the chapter in which you are interested. |

I joined SLB as a married man with children. Perfectly doable if you have the support.
