Big Gifts?

I am currently pledging to be a Pike at my school (Pi Kappa Alpha). Our pledge educator told us we had to come up with some kind of gift the fraternity will be able to use in the future. The past 2 years the gift's have consisted of a very nice hand made beer pong table and a hand made trophy case. The gift doesn't have to be hand made but I would like to come up with some kind of gift that could be considered within the same level or better then the past 2 years. Does anyone have any huge ideas?

How about making a badge/pin light to place outside your house. There are examples and discussion in this thread http://www.greekchat.com/gcforums/sh...ht=badge+light

I just joined Pike at my campus last year, we made cornhole boards, hand made is good b/c it gives the pledges something to do together, and i can attest to the fact that you'll be very proud of it later, i know in the semester before me they gave the chapter a flag pole(which w actually use at tailgating), if the chapter has a house anything to put in it is nice (something like a table could be custom painted)

How about sprucing up the backyard? Mowing the lawn, buying a canopy-style tent for shade and maybe making a weather-resistant table or bar for outdoor events.

The ladies will love it! Do you guys have a volleyball area or a basketball net? You could create a sand volleyball pit, add some picnic benches, etc., so the adoring fans can come and watch the Pikes play volleyball! :)
